Scandal(ish), thrilling(ish), quality(ish). There is a reason this book is popular, but to me it felt a bit too ambiguous. There were so many potential suspects, and yet not quite enough evidence to declare them as such. I was curious to know who did it, but I never felt particularly invested. Every time the stakes seemed to raise, the perspective would immediately change and the thing that made it high stakes would be brushed aside. It was good, enjoyable, but not something to be devoured or be shocked by.
